Stainless Steel Linen Chute

Stainless Steel Linen Chute (or Laundry Chute called by some) System is widely used in hotels, service apartments, nursing homes and hospitals. We design, supply, fabricate and install CHUTEK stainless steel linen chute for owners, developers, operators, main contractors, mechanical trades, laundry specialists, etc.

Linen Chute System diminishes unnecessary vertical transport through cargo lift or even passenger lift for collection of soiled linen.

Its application reduces labour use and the system is generally maintenance free.


CHUTEK stainless steel linen chute is fully factory fabricated and assembled and all joints, the sections for delivery and installation are welded and grinded.

All chute sections are flash inside the sections below and there are no bolts, clips, or other projections inside the chute to snag the flow of the soiled linen.

Linen Chute Trunk

Linen chute trunk is made of stainless steel plates. CHUTEK stainless steel linen chute trunk has an expansion (telescopic) joint between sections and it is fixed by angle support frames to floors and / or walls.

The most common material and size in Singapore for linen chute trunk is 600mm diameter of 1.5mm thickness stainless steel (SUS 304) in 2B finish. Options for thickness are from 1.2mm to 3mm thickness and size from 450mm diameter to 950mm diameter. Higher grade SS316 also can be used.

Chute Intake Opening

Stainless steel linen intake / loading door in satin finish is self-closing, self-latching, side hinged and fire rated carried with the PSB (Singapore) certificates and labels.

The intake doors are bolted in place on throats formed into the chute. Furthermore, it has "HOLD" feature holding the opened door staying still at 90°, which frees the cleaner's hand.

Discharge point is at the lowest part of the chute just above the linen cart / trolley awaiting for collecting the soiled linen down from intake doors on individual floors in linen sorting room. There are three kinds of discharges: direct vertical discharge, horizontal discharge and double turn vertical discharge.
